All rifles are not created the same. I go over the differences between various manufacturers.
****This doesn't mean your rifle wont run if you don't have these upgrades*****
I'm just showing you the differences. So dont bombard me with comments about how your DPMS has 1.2 million rounds through it lol.

  • @jeffyjames2k11 the company should not have to offer a plus package, it should come straight from the factory completely mil spec in my opinion.

  • @jeffyjames2k11 thank you for the correction. However, there is no reason to be a dick about it. At the time that I made this video that option was not available to my knowledge.

  • @ Nikon777, which AR 15 rifles out there are mil-spec? can you post of them?

  • @2ndamendrights sure. colt, bcm, Daniele defense, lmt.

  • what do you think of the new Ruger SR-556

  • @ericahls I like it, it seems to be a pretty good rifle.

  • A nicely done and informative video. Since just about all ARs look the same it was an informative way to explain a $300 or $400 difference between a MilSpec and non MS weapon. I like the fact that Nikon777 did not degrade the non MS weapons. He owns one himself. I just bought a DPMS AR15 because that is what fit my budget. It bugs me when the so called "experts" on the internet tell me that DPMS, or Bush or RRA are crap. They don't own one I am sure. So a nice, respectful job Nikon777

  • do your homework , your accusing stag of not mil spec-ing their rifles.... if you order a stag you have the choice of ordering a civilian standard platform or a plus package platform. The plus package from stag is purely mil spec with the 1 in 7 twist barrel 4150 steel hp and mp tested m4 feed ramps m16 mil spec bolt etc etc... do your homework before you act as a officianado on mil spec'd platforms.

  • great video. but i was just woundering, wat are some of the m4 brands that is not so good because im thinking about buying one but didnt want to pick up on a bad brand m4. so what brand m4 should i avoid or pass up if came across? thanks, and again great video every helpful

  • Great vid. You forgot some things....gas port size "hence over gassed" there is even a spec for midy gas systems which I prefer. As well as proper F marked front sight with proper taper pins as well. Along with an m-16 style bolt carrier instead of the Ar-15 style. Parked under front sight base and t marked rails. I went with a BCM/spikes build and love the quality. Never had a problem. Once again great vid other ARs aren't bad and could function great there just not tier1.

  • Thanks, Nikon777. Just got a Colt today; and it has certainly met my expectations so far. Very useful video for AR platform owners and perspective owners.......

  • @ Nikon777, Thanks man, but unfortunately none of the rifles you mentioned are allowed for citizens to own in my state. However, What we have are: bushmaster, M&p, stag arms; which one you think is better of the three?
