Reason it's not sold at high blends is because it has to be transported by truck and more money is made by selling it as a low blend.

Thanks for providing more information on BioFuels. As I've said elsewhere, while the videos highlight corn-based ethanol, we aren't claiming that ethanol is the ultimate solution to our energy problems. We're merely trying to raise awareness of and generate discussion about alternative energies.

The good thing about BioFuels is that even though burning it emits more CO2 per gallon, the same amount of CO2 is absorbd from the atmosphere when the BioFuels are being grown. All your base are belong to BioFuels!

Ethanol from corn is not the way to go, but all the interest in ethanol is leading to startup companies working on ethanol from cellulose. The bacteria in termite guts, and some fungi that can breakdown cotton are being investigated. Even if it displaces 10% of gasoline, it will help in the coming Peak Oil crunch.

It is good you say that because statistics show that ethanol production is using a CRAP load of clean water, which some areas of the country will be very low on within the next few decades.

There isn't really any way to overcome the fact that biomass is an extremely ineffecient means of harvesting sunlight.
