I am from Iowa..way to go guys..there are a lot of streams/rivers that get overlooked many times just crawling with fish..good job guys..and even a bonus pike for the ole man..love it

Hey man i live in Ames, what river is that? We catch a decent amount of smallies out of the skunk river, but not generally that size, and ive caught very few out of the des moines river, and ive been fishing that for 20 years now.

That was a red-hot river you were in; looked like early spring. Did crankbaits or jigs work best? Excellent job, beautiful smallies.
