If you would like more info on L C you can contact me at dedimu@totcon.com. I am in close contact with his daughter who can help us out. She is also on some of his recordings
Sorry L C was not a fiddle player he did in later years play some mandolin. Also this is Lucky Marshal on guitar so I am guessing this recording was done in Baltimore. The original version has the credits posted by country Paul is bluegrass. I am not sure of the year of this one but I know LC move to Baltimore in the early 50's where I worked with him from 1975-1990 before moving to Fl. L C passed away last year 2010. He is in the Kentuky Bluegrass and the Rock a Billy halls of fame.

LC Smith was a fiddler of some renown. The group is Ralph May and his Southern Mountain Boys. The record is Kingsport 108 (A side) out of Kingsport, TN, in 1954. Damn, this rocks! Thank you for posting this cool track; there is also a very fine hi-fi version of it elsewhere on YouTube..
