More than a decade ago, 10-year-old Shyima Hall came to America. She was forced to sleep in a cold garage at night and work as a maid during the day for an affluent Southern California family. Now the former child slave has become a U-S citizen. (Dec. 15)

  • cant beleive the two got less that 3 years in prision a piece and only had to pay shyima less than $75.000 for her labor. they should rot in prision and have to give her everything they have in the world.

  • UNITED STATES OF AMERICA: THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. Ms. Hall is an inspiration and represents what makes this country GREAT: An incomparably BIG HEART!

  • @blackphonetic1 L.A.Times, 12-16-2011: "In 2002, acting on a tip from a concerned neighbor, child welfare authorities rescued [Shyima Hall] from the house. Her case was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, leading to the prosecution, federal imprisonment and, later, deportation of [Abdel Nasser Eid Youssef Ibrahim and his wife, Amal Ahmed Ewis-abd Motelib.]"

Poetic justice. She gets US citizenship. They gets prison time and deported.

  • @phileemore What is that supposed to mean?

  • @difencrosby Yeah, and she lived with a southern California family...Wtf does being Arab have to do with anything of this? Point is, she was a slave! In America! Slavery has already ended. Idiot lol, and don't tell me Arab culture has a common practice of slavery, IF anything, its the white race that feels supreme over all others. Jeez lmao, remember the 1800's in US? Islamophobic idiot haha!!

    Done.

  • Love the picture on the wall caption...(frame 1:59)...Satellite View of the World. The awareness of what coming to america is about...freedom...not enslavement for whole and productive citizentry...good story.
