  • Thank you Keithryan1025, you're one of the few that understands. I backed up into a ditch. Couldn't see that it was a ditch because the snow was all level around and on it.

  • Yea, my rear wheels were in a ditch about 4 feet deep. And it was safe to leave in drive, it wasn't going anywhere. Lot's of people have commented that the Rubicon isn't very good in the snow, but it was great on rocks and pretty good in the mud.

  • The thing to watch is my ex-wife's comment at the end, "Lets Go!"

  • There is no traction control. But I should have used the electric lockers. I only had the Jeep for a week and later learned how to use it properly. But I don't think having the front and back axles locked would have helped me out of that much snow. Rubicon is best for rock climbing!

  • hey jackass

    1) put your lockers on

    2) dig the wheels out a little and you'll be able to get some momentum nd get right out.

  • @jeffgauthier That one tire you said "wasn't turning", was actually the one getting the most traction. If you had your lockers on, you might have made it.

  • @jeffgauthier Yep, agreed on that - one year later.. but having lockers really isnt the end-all for snow - Its handy, but it tends to get you stuck in places no other vehicle can normally get to ;) haha

  • Dude prob. Has it in 4 hi and you can't put the locker on in 4 high only low. The rear isn't looked right now either the rear has limited slip when the locker is not on. He just messed up and didn't read the manual.

  • Whoever said rubicons arnt good in the snow is a fucking retard. It has front and rear lockers!!! If it sux in the snow then you need better tires.

My 05 Rubi will go anywhere in any conditions. The only people who hate on jeeps wish they had a rig that could keep up with a rubicon.

  • Looks like a typical "Heep" to me! It's funny reading the comments of you jeep lovers when someone has anything negative to say about your rig but you "jeepers" flame every other rig on YouTube. It's a 70 year old www2 era underpowered, can't tow anything but a jetski pos!

  • This is a great learning experience. He just got educated on lockers, being hung up, ice traction and the rule check the unknown. Learning from your mistakes does not make you a dumb driver. If he is on ice I doubt the front locker would help. But, having a shovel, traction sand, a high lift jack and something to put under the tires would help.

  • Great thing about a jeep is they are light. Get beside it and start rocking it back and forth....Ive got unstuck many times by doing that. And if that doesnt work trade it in for a overland. They are amazing in snow and ice!

  • ok well if jeeps arent #1 in the snow, what is?

  • its your jeep screw all the negative comments, as long as your having fun screw them!!!

  • @jeffgauthier Ya man it sucks but for just normal snow as long as the undercarriage is not lifted ive found, i have no trouble.

  • That one tire is not turning because it's probably an open diff. If the front locked that would have been no problem. Sorry about the bum luck.

  • I will recap what was already said. OK you don't understand what an open differential is, you don't know your vehicle very well, because the Rubicons have lockers FROM THE FACTORY, and Lacrosseman...don't knock the TJ .. it's probably the best Wrangler platform ever made...

  • @aweltkbs It is funny how the Rubicon comes with the axle lock and hes wondering why the right front tire is not spinning? Hahaha

  • I mean your undercarriage is swamped down and the front have no weight and are most likely burnt down to ice mine got stuck in almost in identical situation it sucked as far as like deep snow ive gone through about 10 inches of heavy snow in buffalo ny before and it just bogged through it. But once that undercarriage is off the ground your screwed.

  • dang its hard to find 05-06 jeep wrangler unlimited rubicon. They are rare!

  • why isnt the front locker locked?

  • @jeffgauthier find a car that is good in snow. hahaha. its all in the tires. but even so, not much of a chance.

  • dumb shit meet dumb idea, yayy!!!

oh fuck itt! i do this too! (cept i dont get stuck) jeep commander babyyy yeaaa

  • dude rubi's are fucking awesome in snow...maybe not the Tj (however i do like the 4.0 over the 3.8) but the JK rubi is awesome...and having it locked does help...alot!...idk whats goin on in this vid...ice....but my brother has a JK rubi and he was pushing so much snow it went over the windshield and on the roof....and he had to back up and go around the pile..he also pulled out a 2500 cummins out of a field when the rubi was on ice so...maybe its the driver

  • yea there is no reason a rubicon couldnt have made it out of that.not using the lockers is a death wish and well those tires are weak...throw some knobs underneath there

  • ok someone is jeeep hating here

    its a fucking rubi

    fucking sad loser

  • ya...first of all you shouldnt leave it in drive when no one is in the drivers seat...and second of all, facepalm big time for not using your lockers. there was no reason for you to be "stuck" in that little bit of snow in a rubicon.
