At 1130 hrs the box was transmitted for a house fire at 405 East Hamilton Street, sending Engines 9, 6, 14, truck 2 and BC 4 (Grim) to the scene. BC 4 arrives and transmits a working fire in a two-story E/O/R. Engine stretches 2 lines, one first-floor and one to the second-floor for extension. With heavy fire blowing out of the rear, BC 4 transmits the second-alarm at 1136 hrs. Engines 4, 13, 11, Air 1 and Chief 40 respond. The fire was quickly darkened down and searches of the fire building and 403 were negative. Under control was transmitted by orders of 4th Battalion at 1209 hrs.

  • why wasn't 13 on the box?

  • 13 was assigned to a rescue at Irving and the avenue and 9 and BC4 were already on the road for the rescue
