According to the Autism Society of North Carolina, one in every 150 children born today will be diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
You can help the YMCA serve children with Autism.
The YMCA developed inclusion-based summer camp and afterschool programs through a collaboration with the Autism Foundation of the Carolinas and the Autism Society of North Carolina. Both of these programs provide autistic children with socialization, communication and life skills. The intent of the inclusion programs is to provide parents of children with autism another way to help their children flourish.
You can help children with autism continue to move along the spectrum toward a more independent, productive life.
