HygienIQ TiO2 Photocatalyst Sprayer
HygeinIQ Titanium Dioxide series is a revolutionary "SPRAY ON" air-purifying coating product based on the most advanced nano-technology PHOTOCATALSYSIS. HygienIQ Titanium creates a strong oxidizing action when exposed to sun light which breaks down and eliminates allergens, pungent smells, and air pollutants in the air and on the treated surfaces. The LIGHT-CLEAN action instantly decomposes and ?de-natures? air toxics to render them harmless. HygienIQ Titanium protects and purifies your car interior continuously for up to one year, creating a fresher and healthier driving experience.

  • That's awesome in your car right, because you're using the solar plasma as your UV energy source, so it will be nearly instant on a bright strong solar day, and it'll get rid of all the VOCs.

  • UV pass through glass.

It's depend of the UV wavelenght and if glass is treated to block UV.

Wikipedia: ''Ordinary glass is partially transparent to UVA but is opaque to shorter wavelengths, whereas Silica or quartz glass, depending on quality, can be transparent even to vacuum UV wavelengths. Ordinary window glass passes about 90% of the light above 350 nm, but blocks over 90% of the light below 300 nm.''

  • Pseudo-science if iv ever seen it

  • But wait, there's more take a look at Quartz and Soft Glass UV lamps, they are not the same thing as your car or home window. TiO2 is effective at catalyzing VOC's and chemical odors only when reacted with UV. In addition, to catalyze odors, you need square feet of TiO2 as per the EPA PCO study from 1986. TiO2 will not do anything for biological contaminants such as mold/virus/bacteria on a surface or airstream. This product actually has no merits or use.

  • Actually Windows are solid, UV cannot penetrate any window or plastic (like plexiglass). Learn your physics.

  • Wrong on all counts.

UV penetrates any window without UV blocking such as 'solar film', including most automotive glass.

Odors are the byproduct of VOC's and organics, i.e., contaminants.

  • Unfortunately, UV light does not penetrate windows. Thus, the key that makes this catalyst work, UV from sunlight, is non-existent inside the car. Therefore, the catalyst cannot react with UV oxidizing any odors. TiO2 is only effective at treating odors in the first place, not contaminants.
