What a talent, and still talented, met him in the late 80's backstage at a Guess Who concert.Scared the hell out of me when Garry Peterson of the Guess Who introduced me to him. Kay was very polite, then he went his way,I went mine.Something I will never forget.
Towards the end, you could tell that John Kay's version of the "old" 'Wolf had mellowed. Afterall, how many rock drummers show up in a sweater vest? Of course half the audience probably has a sweater vest somewhere in the closet. And I miss the bass player too. Michael Wilk covered the bass lines on his keyboards but it ain't the same. Thank goodness, JK still has his trusty Rickenbacker to wail on. He was a pioneer thru the ages. Long live the 'Wolf.
He's still good, he did thing 30 years ago. He's having fun now, chlling his balls in olympic size pool at his house. But He still rocks. And i am 15, he has started his career when my father was in my grandfather's balls.
Yeah he needs to put his shades on. He does look freaky without them, but then again he is old now. His cool gravel voice is gone also. But oh well, he is still having fun.
I just got to shake his hand and got a picture with him on the Rock Legends cruise LOVE Johnny Kay!!!!!!!!! always have
