In Ontario(Canada) it is LAW... for a private land owner to take any and all action against removing beaver if they are causing destruction up to and including shooting them on sight.
Sounds cruel but the Governement has regualtions on this trapping stuff. People think that these Hunters are acting on their own. Not so!
beavers are a nuisance, when they make their ponds they are actually causing more damage to a wet land than you think, by raising the water level they kill emergent plant life that is important to other species. and in some cases their damming can cause thousands of dollars of damage to repair. here they are just trapping them here not killing them, if they wanted to kill them they would use a connibear, which breaks the animals neck and back at the same time, instant death
Yes, but they also create slow moving and pooled areas for turtles, frogs, fish, etc. hang, breed, feed, et. Why do you think you have the right to trap them. Great video. Did you kil lthem after? Why not tape that?
