Hangar 9 P-51 Mustang PTS Mk II with an O.S. 46 AX engine installed in place of the Evolution 46 that it came with. A two bladed 11X7 prop replaced the Evo prop. Very nice plane. All trainer stuff is off and servos added for working flaps.

  • why did you choose the o.s instead of the evolution engine?? i got a sundowner 36 i wanna put in a o.s 46 ax but the manual calls for evolution .46

  • @panama0202 I had an evolution on the p-51 and it did ok. I have a video on youtube when I still had it on. Everyone kept telling me how much better the o.s. 46AX was and so I tried it. The evolution was a good engine and is considerably cheaper and I still run it on a trainer, but I have to admit the o.s. has noticably more power and transitions better and has been very reliable. Also I can start it by flipping the spinner with my finger tips. Hope this helps.

  • Wow..how did you managed to get 10 mins of flight?? Did you change the tank?

  • @irshaad57 It still has the original tank. If I'm careful with the throttle I can get 12 - 13 minutes. This flight had almost an empty tank when I brought it in.

  • I have this plane also, but with an OS55AX 10*8APC and a tuned pipe. Flap servos also. Only problem is I found the receiver starts to do crap at 4.6v and batt included is only 4.8v. So I got a 6v batt and the servos can't handle it. So I ended up buying 7 hitech digital metal gear servos to put in her. I put alot of money in the plane but I couldn't be happier with the results. Check my channel to see my hobbico superstar with a tuned pipe also.

  • My buddy put the os 46 in his, from the start, but hes thinking about getting an evo now, since mine has outperformed his and always started on a flip or 2

  • @dskeigley That i will do for sure. Thanks for the advice. I really don't have the money for fixing bad models.

  • @ArcticRc You might want to research the blue nose, I heard reviews of bad glue joints and parts of the plane coming apart in flight.

  • @dskeigley Thanks for replying. I sure will practice with it but i guess i loose the droops and install servos for flaps just to get the real feeling. In the end i guess i'll buy the bluenoose from hangar 9. Have a nice day mate and again thanks

  • @ArcticRc I now fly with a two bladed 11X7 prop. I flew it about a year with the evolution engine and the three bladed stock prop and it flew well. I have two of these evolution engines and they both have run very well for me. The O.S. 46 AX and the two bladed prop made quite a difference in performance.
