killer whales

It was just another saturday afternoon when we saw killer whales pop up in the fjord in front of the house.

We decided to go out by boat and drive with them for a while. For about 1 hour we followed the animals and shot footage of them as they were coming up for air.

The footage is of poor quality as it was taken with a small digital camera but the experience is 1 that is hard to forget, killer whales in your front yard: welcome to norway...

next time though, try not to drive on top of them. thats a noisy boat, too close, with a deadly rotation prop, be careful!

with a deadly prop?? On a jetstreamer it is flushing water that drives you. they actually came to check out the boat and we followed them. Nothing indicated that they were disturbed by our presence and if it did we would have gone away.

Shit, i want also orca's in my front-yard! Not that i want them in captivity! I just want to live close near the Ocean where killerwhale habitat.

How cool! Orcas are so amazing, beautiful and intelligent. I'm going to Alaska to see them in this summer! I hope my experience is like yours!
