If you live in Canada, you probably have heard of Thai Express (the fast food joint). Well here is how you make their Thai Fried rice...for half the price! - Ingredients for ONE person -

- Rice
- Any Kind of Raw or Cooked Meat
- One Clove Garlic
- Green Onions
- One Beaten Egg
- Thai Basil (or regular)
- Sweet Soy Sauce (or regular)
- Crushed Red Peppers (if you like spicy)

  • The egg is not supposed to be scrambled, you need to put the green onions last, We don't put Basil in, We don't put carrots in, We throw in the rice first then we throw in the egg, We Thai people don't put sweet soy sauce because it's horrible. My mother is like screaming "ITS NOT RIGHT!!! THEY SCREWED (or fuck) IT UP!!" I agree with my mother but It's your style not Thai style.

  • @PJLynnie your mom needs to sue Thai Express then because this is pretty much their recipe!

  • mm im going to try this but what could you have this with??

  • @RossBuchan91 This is perfect by itself as it contains vegetables, protein, and a grain, but I suppose you could just make this without meat and use it as a side for some grilled chicken or beef.

  • i'm pretty sure I can fine sweet soy sauce and thai basil, but can you just buy duck meat in chain-type supermarkets? i've never even bothered looking. That looks delicious, cheap and damn simple, as do all your dishes. Thanks man gonna try this one for sure.

  • @playdrums yes you can buy duck meat in a regular grocery store, but it's extremely over priced. Just to give you an idea, a WHOLE cooked bbq duck from China Town costs 10-15 dollars. One raw duck BREAST costs 12 at my local grocery store.

  • A man cooking is hot. Thanks.

  • I can't have soy. What are some good substitutes for soy sauce?

  • @PJLynnie You mad, bro? lol

  • You know that you need to add salt and pepper because the soy sauce is already making it salty even though its sweet soy sauce right?

  • I love cooking with that soy sauce, it's so damn good!

  • this looks fantastic. it'll be a good change from my usual diet of ramen and frozen waffles.
