Community Conversations: "What is a Cult?"

Moderator:
*Dr. Jim Kopp, Director of the Aubrey Watzek Library and Professor of History at Lewis & Clark College.

Panelists:
*Graham Kislingbury is the online editor for the Democrat-Herald and Corvallis Gazette-Times. Graham's sister Sharon died at age 22 in the murder-suicide on Nov. 18, 1978, at Jonestown, Guyana.

*Dr. Jack Crabtree is the Director of the McKenzie Study Center, a biblical studies institute of Gutenberg College.

*Dr. T. Wayne Husaker had directed the Eugene LDS Institute since 1999.


Community Conversations is an academic program that is one of the Living Learning Initiatives of University Housing in partnership with the Clark Honors College, the Oregon Humanities Center, and Undergraduate Studies. The goal of Community Conversations is to stimulate intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, contrarian debate, and articulate discourse among the 3,300+ residential students at the University of Oregon.
