Here we go, another one of many piano magicians from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, a nation which is never tired of producing world class pianists despite many difficulties posed by their corrupt regime.
Fazliddin Husanov from Tashkent was the 1st prize winner of London International Piano Competition 2001.
Absolutely breathtaking & awe-inspiring.
Keep rocking Uzbeks!

Absolutely brilliant! He stepped in for an indisposed Jean-Philippe Collard (who had previously replaced Martha Argerich) in the Prokofiev at the Hexagon, Reading on 2nd May. He got a huge ovation though few people probably knew then that he was the winner of the London International Piano Competition. What a treat!
