I was looking at that too. How about the midline knot just above him. I'd have to have brand new gear to trust that, not some 3rd world junk hanging for god knows how long. Looks fun though.
It's not that major a no-no, it's not like they have half the rated strength or anything... not that I would ever tie into my belay loop (but I wouldn't die of fright if I accidentally did) Besides it looks like a specialty safety or rigging harness, not ever meant for climbing. Hard to judge what is technically correct or not unless you own one exactly the same
