This PSA expains how water entering streets and storm drains go directly to the ocean, whereas water from our sinks and toilets go to water treatment facilities before entering the ocean. The message is that we can improve our local ocean water quality by reducing the use of pollutants in our front yards because storm drains lead directly to the ocean. So - don't wash your car in the street, take it to a car wash where they treat and recycle water. Produced for the City of Santa Barbara Creeks Division and SB County Clean Water Program.

  • well if she doesnt want him to dump the soap in the drain, where the hell else is it gonna go?

  • @jk47hm4 Thanks for your comment! Since water in the street runs directly to the ocean, its best to take your car to a car wash where they treat and recycle water.

  • I see. So is the soap harmful to the ocean or something?
