  • Everything the U.S. government does is a war. The 'Information War'? How fucked up is that way of thinking? The War on Poverty, The War on Drugs, The Information War, they all fail because war is a negative way to think of how to solve anything.

But if you refer to biased sources, an intelligent person, given enough sources independent of another, can extract credible information with some accuracy. It's no different that eliminating erroneous data from data set, commonly practiced on technical studies.

Given only one source, even Einsten couldn't do that.

  • @phocjame ...Al Jazeera when it comes to Middle East and I don't even trust BBC when it comes to UK. Best sources are always ones that have no direct interest in information they carry.

  • @phocjame Only independent media is Internet. That is why US gov is trying to control it - it's all within policy stated by Hilary. And even those aren't unbiased. Objectivity is an idealized condition, not present in real world. That is why it's essential to use as many sources as possible. But not being 100% objective doesn't mean source is part of propaganda, and frankly all large TV and press take part in propaganda. I never really trust CNN when it comes to USA, nor I trust...
