Take the test with a grain of salt as I cannot perfectly match the two start times, individual files affects boot times, and a gazillion other things can occur to alter it. This is just a comparison to show the speed of the Toshiba HG3, which is the factory Apple SSD.

  • I actually don't know...I just selected it to play a random song. I'll SoundHorn it for you...

  • They are kick ass systems and despite their ridiculous price tags, I would buy another. This is my third. The 6.0 Gbps, SATA III SSDs will boost data transfer speed for LARGE files, but the factory SSDs are still plenty fast for boot up and for transferring most files. The value of purchasing a third party SSD really seems to depend on the individual user, but I use pretty big files and I really feel no need to upgrade at this time given how fast any SSD is, including this factory one.

  • what's this song?

  • that rabbit look huge!!!

  • Thank you for this video. It is pretty much the exact system im considering, except 2.2GHz and 4GB RAM (although I dont think this will affect boot up much). Very helpful, liked the 15sec boot up.
