motorguru's Justin Bell, world champion Viper factory driver, visits the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit where each 600 horsepower Dodge Viper is hand assembled with pride - one vehicle at a time.

(See the complete Dodge Viper SRT10 video car at http://motorguru.com/video.html?v=40 )

motorguru's Justin Bell has a long history with Viper including being part of the factory Oreca Viper Team, winning the 1997 GT2 World Drivers Championship and the 1998 Le Mans 24 Hour race in the same category. Visiting the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant was somewhat of a homecoming for Justin and the team at motorguru. This motorFEATURE video is a story that motorguru.com has wanted to tell for some time. Conner Ave. is not at all a typical automated factory. Each Viper is hand assembled with unbelievable dedication from long-time craftsmen and craftswomen who take great pride in their work. Only seven to eight Vipers are produced each day in a straight line assembly line totally just over 700 feet long. Viper fans and owners know well the story and history of Conner Ave. Experience with motorguru.com perhaps the best of what Detroit has to offer.

  • Awesome to see an American car being Hand Built, Compared to some 100% Hand built Super Cars that take in some cares a few weeks to build it's production is still somewhat primitive but as a mass produced vehicle I'm still very impressed! Beautiful car, Too bad they're discontinuing it:(

  • notice how the chassis supplier remains nameless?

  • I love how the Daimler word is simply painted over lol.

  • Wow, americans live still in the stone age. I've watched before how AMG assembles their engines...

  • @LiLTMac123 The 2012 Dodge Viper SRT10

  • @prodriver1 Hey watch what you say the viper will crush any sports car and/or super car with 600 stock horsepower and 550 ft lbs of torque it will go from 0-60 in 2.3 seconds without burning rubber it has been and always will be my dream car.

  • You see the size of the type. It is bigger than his head!!!

  • soooo with chrysler discontinuing the viper what are they gonna use this plant for now
