I'm 1/2 tuned at this point. about 11.3:1 - 11.5:1 AFRs. only 30 knock on the SAFC2 recorder :)

It's a treadstone turbo kit with 9psi wastegate spring. I'm getting 6-7psi at the manifold right now with the wastegate vacuum sourced to the turbo outlet. I'll probably up the wastegate PSI if I'm certain I don't have a boost leak (maybe the SSQV is leaking? not sure.)

  • aanything can be a DD if you are willing to deal with all the headaches. eventually it doesnt feel as fast and you will either turn up the boost or wish it wasnt boosted.

  • @lan00b yes but my neon, jetta, and cobalts are not blown up. haha the jetta is my friends along with the cobalt. I own the srt-4,and sxt neon, and gti

  • @stairmaster3001 Says the guy with Neon jetta and cobalt videos. Ya right... lol

  • @chisleu whats a DD?

  • @stairmaster3001 speac-V is very fastest spec-V=respect

  • @greeleyxcore spec vs are horrible cars they tend to blow up

  • @chisleu

why can't it be a daily driver?

  • @chisleu im about to boost my dd spec, im planning on running it at 6 psi with a ts/t4 57 trim

  • @jwuonog no, going to 20psi took a lot of work.

Do not, I repeat, do NOT boost a spec-v unless you have a daily driver...

  • @jwuonog I went up to 20+psi and eventually blew up my last race motor. I'm done now. It's on standalone w/ e85, N/A. I do NOT recommend ANY boost for daily driving. It's too much trouble and potential for issues UNLESS you have a real shop build it and tune it. Don't boost until you have a DD. It's a pain in the ass and when you are calling people for rides or limping around in a untuned turbo spec, you will understand why.
