Joan's Gift -- Coeur d'Alene Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Center

Ray and Joan Kroc gave the largest financial donation in U.S. history to the Salvation Army in 2003. The purpose of which was to build community centers across the United States. Against all odds the city of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho recieved and funded the first of these community centers. This is the story of how Coeur d'Alene accomplished this monumental goal.
