CVT takes getting used to, it is very gas efficient and it can hall ass, but I do prefer my old 6 speed. Kids change life style :)

guys, stop dissing my leased car, lol... this maxima blows away any older Maxima, Camaro SS, 350z, G35, Mustang GT, mercedes 3 class, bmw 3 and 5 class, cadilac CTS - the CVT rocks and if you optimize it for a turbo - forget it i will be eating half of Miami for breakfast. This car also goes offroading on weekend so don't diss before u drive 1 with the parts i put in :)

The CVT is what has put me off the Maxima. Terrible transmission idea.

if you would shift it your self you would change your mind about the car dont let it drive you. drive that bitch. shift it like you would a 6 speed manual.

All of these CVTs on Nissans VQ engines completely fall on their face after 90MPH. I don't get it....

How does CVT save fuel exactly? A normal auto would not have the engine almost redlining in this situation until it had 1) about to change gear or 2) reached top speed. This thing is almost redlining the entire time = chewing fuel.

CVT transmissions look and feel terrible. I'm shocked car company's makes these transmissions. I would never buy a car like this

@stuntmanP26 The acceleration of this car is pitiful, how could they even call this a 4 door sports car anymore? Either of my 4 door cars would rape this turd and they're both garbage!
