Im an Australian & have always been lead to believe that the Tenterfield Saddler is a song that Peter wrote about his Grandfather. Therefore in the song he is singing about his Grandfather, his own father & himself. Is this correct ???

@thegman00 yes his grandfather is the saddler his father was alchoholic and killed himself and he(Peter) is the grandson who "married a girl with an interesting face" :)

You have to feel pity for any person who would dream of attacking Peter Allen for what ever reason. He was a decent human being who came from a frugal life and made it to the top on talent alone. This song is one that goes to the heart and mind of good people.
