For the price of a pack of ciggarettes a week most young people could afford this technology if they were smart enough to start early!

@MrDavetheman I figured so. I try and address the Cryonics issue from either side of the religious coin. I think many religious people are surprised to see that Cryonics in not inconflict with thier religion but in fact thier religion supports cryonics...at least in directly. From an atheistic point of view it just makes sense. If you have no belief in an after life then certainly why wouldn't you want healthy, abundant and prosperous life extension?

@DK0526 ya I agree with you, I was replying to the first comment where the poster said it would be awful for a soul to be trapped, but if there is no soul (as I believe) then it has no effect on making the decision whether or not to be frozen. Thanks for the reply

@MrDavetheman If that were the case Cryonics would still make sense. Think of cryonics as a heart transplant or a cancer treatment. You can be of any religious belief, agnostic, or even athiest for those proceedures to make sense. I see no reason why cryonics is any different. From a religious perspective it makes sense to cheerish and preserrve life. From an atheistic perspective it makes sense to cheerish and preserve life. Questions of the soul & God were common before Heart transplants also.

@TheMichellepop what if there is no god ? or soul
-
@DK0526 yes life is precious and doesnt just end when the body is finished. my believes only. i do like your thoughts though so thank you again.

@TheMichellepop The ultimate question of what God wants is very subjective. I believe eventually we will all die but God gives us the brains and ability to extend the precious gift of life. Technololgy has tripled our life spans in the last 100 yrs from an avg 30 through out recorded history. If we are wise and work hard there is no reason we cant extend life, health, & youth to very high numbers. Life is a good gift we shouldn't throw away out of tradition or ridgid feelings of what is possible

@DK0526 thanks for ur out look on the subject but i cannot help but feel the way i do.

@TheMichellepop I have personally brought back people in hypothermic cardiac arrest. They where frozen cold and clinically dead. They all were happy to be brought back. There was no complaints or apparent souless zombies. As far as God and the soul is concerned, I don't suppose to be an interpreter for God or place an arbitray expiration date on souls in cold people. For Christians Mathew 10:8 however seems to support cryonics. "cure the sick, raise the {dead}, heal leppers" Jesus.
Im doing everything i can to live as long as possible this is plan B my A plan is that there will be technology that can extend my lifespan further trough medical advances and so get me further into the future with even better technology without having to freeze myself.

@boxingisbest That makes perfect logical sense. There is a saying in cryonics..."Cryonics is the 2nd worst thing that can ever happen to you" , "The worst is dieing without it" so like many of us cryonicists, we strive not to some day be frozen but to simply live healthy and see the advances of the future. Cryonics is a logical life insurance policy funded ironically,,, by life insurance. It give people hope and piece of mind. It is wise to have a back up plan failing to plan is planning to fail
