What I like about Trainz is that you can create your own maps using real map data from government servers. The end result is a Trainz map with all the elevation and terrain done for you. But, you have to lay your own track and make your own smooth grades using the smooth terrain tool with the track. What can you do with this other than flat boards? Trainz you can build routes on flat boards but for real world recreations it looks better with the actual terrain.
