Never Judge a Book By Its Cover

Hehe something i made myself hehe. Its my first time making anything like that. But I used it as entry video to a course in Nanyang Technology University. Didnt want to upload it earlier cuz well, people might copy ideas lol...

1. Arts Design media as the name suggests is a course in Nanyang Technology University which has something to do with the arts, design, and media.
2. There are many courses under this where you choose to major in.
3. Some of the majors are: Animation, gaming and char design(sumthing like that), product design, filming/media... etc...
4. Even if you want to major in product design or filming/media for example, you'll need to go through the first year of learning everything including animation or character design etc...
5. Depending on your strengths you will be posted to your Major.
6. To get yourself into the course there are 4 things they require: 1) portfolio consisting of about 10-20 works not too many not too little.
2) a 3 min video describing yourself, why you want to be admitted, or why you should be admitted...
3) Certificates... erm qualification/testimony etc...
4) A 400-500 words(i hope i remember correctly) write-up.

After this there is a entry paper test conducted in the school and they will choose about 50 -100 I heard from all the examinees. They then calculate the JC/poly results combined with the test results. This will determine if you can be allowed in. Of course even if you do not make it here because of your results, if you are exceptional they will help you in your plea to the school for your entrance.

Note: For those people who says this is crap, totally trash, lousy animation, no quality or stuff... I wont blame you and I dont really mind it too much. But if you are going to insult me directly by saying I didnt put in effort, put down my sincerity, and give comparisons and use unfair comments and rude and insulting words, please get yourself out of my profile Thank you.

Hi, industry insider here.

No offense, but i think this animation is quite lacking in quality. The flow of the story is rather stagnant, not engaging and honestly quite boring. It'll be immature that you should think this is a work worth showing.

Show reels do not require such extensive credits, showing your name like 3 or 4 times. People might think you are an arrogant and narcissistic person.

You should consider scrapping this and reworking it, or choose another profession.

Oh and btw... I think you really look down on these kind of art and design courses. If you do not already know, that if you enter into these kind of courses, a degree doesnt matter as much as your portfolio. Even if people enter to just get off with a degree, and their portfolio doesnt match up to their diploma holders, it is not worth as much. If you are also an Arts or design person... you should at least know as much.

erm btw this is not supposed to be a story. It is just a work to describe myself. I could use a video. Sit infront of it and play music...or just sit there and video myself saying stuff about myself... not an animation to show off my skills...

But this doesnt mean my attitude is bad. I have really worked really really hard on this which I m really not good in. I could handdraw it and scan but that would take too much time. Thats why i decided to use the mouse. And because I dont have time to learn how to use programs like flash... By typing comments like this is reallly irresponsible and mean. I didnt work so hard for comments like yours. Also,the ending was just a mimick from a comedy i watched. If u are offended... then im sorry.

I know what you're getting to... But this not the course Im going to get into... This is a compulsory thing that is required to do. And because the letter they sent I received late... I only had 2 weeks to prepare the 4 different kinds of portfolio they wanted. They actually wanted a video shooting but at the point of time I didnt have one and didnt have time to find people who have... and yes I have no experience or knowledge on doing computer animation.
