This is one of two identical elevators at a 23-storey food outlet theme building. As there are many popular food outlets situated there, the two lifts are of very high patronage, particularly in the early evening as seen here, with the main portion of the passengers being teenagers. During dinner time the line of lift passengers very often extends to somewhere outside the main door!

The floor indicators and the buttons are of a Hitachi design that is not common in Hong Kong. The maintenence work, however, has been contracted out to Antonfield Engineering, the sole agent of some smaller lift brands.

Security guards at the entrance lobby have a very hard time during the periods when the lifts are busy. They have to briefly clean the lift floor every time a lift arrives, and direct passengers into and out of the cars. Sometimes one or two of them even have to stay inside the cars as operation attendants!

樓層顯示器及按鈕屬於一個在香港並不常見的日立設計，但是，維修工作經已外判給宏照工程 － 若干較小規模升降機品牌的代理商。

在入口大堂的保安員在升降機繁忙的時間非常吃力，他們需要在每當升降機到達時，略略清潔機內地板，以及指導乘客進出升降機。偶然有其中一人或兩人需要進駐機內擔任操作員！

Maybe they have to specialize one car to serve the higher floors and the other for the lower floors. This is the most efficient considering the operation status there.

That's a specialty in some local Japanese lift designs. Anyway the elevators there have to make quite a lot of intermediate stops all the time. Not much difference with high speed models.
