A million dollars was a marketing tv selling gimmick. Rude was more than likely right. $1000. Was probably the true purse. NWA was never that big to offer a million dollars.

Rick Rude and the Bull were alot better on the mike than Paul Jones.Managers were usually used mostly for teams that didn't do much talking on the mike like the Midnight Express.Paul Jones was very average as a manager.I wish R&R had stayed together longer in the nwa.They were a great tag team.

@vousallezvous I LOL'd at your comment too. I think it's funny to think back to how we believed it back in those days...where did we think the money was coming from? They didn't even sell enough tickets for $1,000,000 and they had no sponsors...were we expected to believe the promoters were giving it out of the kindness of their hearts? That sure sounds like wrestling promoters!
