Alice wrote Dwight Frye while in rehab for his Alcohol addiction the song is about a guy he was talking to while he was there because the guy killed some people so he was in a straight jacket

Yes he was! Dwight also played in Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, and The Invisible Man.
