Through computer screens, inside all-age clubs, with candid personal diaries and in their own short dramas about sexual pressures, Its a Teens World is an unflinching expose of three culturally diverse groups of Toronto teens who share what its like to navigate a tangled web of sex, lies and power trips.

To all the negative comments here; I worked with these kids for almost a year. None of them are messed up, none of them are dumb. They come from stable homes with parents who want to be supportive. They're as bright, hard working and responsible as teenagers can be. That's why we we selected them to be in our film. It shows that it's not easy being a teenager. A bit more empathy would go a long way folks!

sure there are people who are like that. i would say thats more a problem with their parents. The 13 year old chick says that everybody is like do me at the clubs?? probably just her impression of people grinding and the odd dancefloor makeout because shes 13!

the kid who says that kids say that you are gay if you havent had sex by the time you are 11? come on. the kids who say this deffinetly haven't gotten laid before. most probably havent even kissed a girl by the time they are 11.

I want to say that the teens in the documentary have issues, butfrom personal experience talking with teens, there really are people out there like that. There really are teens who go out clubbing at 13; there are teens having sex at 10 and 11, and getting pregnant by 12 or 13. There are teens who start drinking or doing drugs before they hit their teens.

this may sound cruel but if kids that arent my friends or habe potential have sex, i dont care. listen, life is more individualistic than you think and caring about everyones problems would drive me insane. sex before marriage is never going to stop and the desire of teens is to strong. in conclusion to my three paragraph rant, it is mainly about peer pressure and the society around you. teens do not live in individual freedom and are controlled by media and the views of people around them.

also kids do not know any better. and also it is not the guys fault. it is equal blame on both sides. it is the media telling us that this is the only good loooking body, six pack or curvacious bodies and media instills that these type of people should have sex. also barely any teen has good morals knowadays. trust me, a lot of high school kids are not as smart as you think, they do not know any better and have no goals and sense in their lives. media plays a huge part.

it has nothing to do with rap music. yes music in general plays a strong influence but music does not control your conscious and your decision making. at the end if the day it comes down to peer pressure and the friends your with and the society you live in. trust me, im 16 ive never had sex , im catholic, but i know many people who have. reggae music or the the dagggering dance may seem very connected to sex, however it only plays a small part. the number one thing is your friends views on sex.

I think the teens making this vid rule. Seriously. I go to a private high school so this stuff doesn't happen, I mean jeez we're not even allowed to sit on the same lunch bench anymore lol. But I hear from my friends all the time in ELEMENTARY and MIDDLE school and I'm like, "seriously? seriously? How old are you again?" I can't even begin to imagine a public high school.
