Gay Pride Rally and Parade Austin Texas

The Gay Pride parade and festival happens every June in Austin - and this week the city council will consider making it an official city co-sponsored event. It is estimated the event brings as much as 2 point 5 million dollars to the economy and draws 45 thousand people.

You don't HAVE to be proud to be heterosexual or christian because you're part of the majority. Society doesn't look down on you for something that is a part of who you are. We wouldn't have to have these parades, besides for the sheer fun of it, if society as a whole would be accepting. So we have to show we're proud of who we are. We wouldn't HAVE to be so outlandish, but society doesn't want us to be equals. So we're going to have some fun while we wait.

I personally don't care if "they" whoever they is, want to have a gay pride parade, as long as they follow the law on conduct and behavior, etc. It's part of free speech right? Where I draw the line is making it a "City Sponsored" event. Having the parade is fine, but why should the city pay for it? If the city pays for this parade, it would then be obligated to sponsor Muslim and Christian Pride parades, Bestiality Parades and who knows what else, where would it end?

1.) Bestiality is unnatural behavior. Almost no human beings want to fuck dogs (or any other animal). Also, a dog cannot give it's consent to sex. That creeped me out just typing that.

2.) Homosexuality occurs in many species including our own. It is a natural phenomenon with a significant prevalence in human beings. Probably 2% at the least.

In conclusion, the two subjects have nothing to do with each other. Also, stop thinking about bestiality - it's gross!
