u dont need to do the quest, talk to the jarl first about the wolf cave then talk to firebeard, do that quest, then talk to the jarl again and do the favor for her, finish that then talk to fireeard for the house

For some reason whenever i approach elisif to get the quest she says, "everytime i see you my bones chill" or something like that. Im a stormcloak and i killed that lady who had her wedding in solitude but i paid off my bounty. What could be wrong? I also killed potema for falk firebeard and he didnt tell me that i can buy property.

you dont need to have any thing you can be lvl 1 and go through the quest and get money for the house

I did the quest, but he still won't sell me the house. I've been arrested in Solitude once. Could that be why?

@delzacred you might want to get more fame, and maybe talk to the jarl again and go through all of the speech options. Otherwise I do not know. This game is just ridiculously bugged beyond belief :(

@james1005xx you may have to do more main quest, do legion, overtake solitude as stormcloaks or just ask around the palace
