TonyaTko INJURED! Leg Cast /Ankle Splint Setting - Santo Domingo RD

I injured my ankle really badly on uneven pavement in the Capital Santo Domingo Republica Dominicana in the Zona Colonial. There's a talented doctor, Dra Marie Andree Schambach staying in my hotel. She examined my foot & decided I should use an ankle restraint. The pharmacia which sells this equipo was just closing so she decided to improvise with a half-cast. I was supposed to do a video of travel tips etc, but I've been very absorbed with this injury.

Get better! Saw you at Pollo Rey yesterday with your bantu knots, would've said hi, but it seems some guy was trying to holler. lol. (i hope i dont sound like a stalker, my host family just lives very close to you) Don't know how long you'll be here, but I truly hope you've been enjoying yourself.

@gjediting I really wish with all of what I have left of my heart that you would have said hello to me. You have no idea how much it would have Made my Day... I've been dealing with this injury & I've been very upset. So I dressed up in yellow to cheer myself up, and I rolled my hair in bantu knots. I could have really used a friend. Next time please speak. You have no idea what it would have meant to me :-(

So interesting. Actually they still use this type of cast in the states. The fiberglass is quick and easier to apply but the orthopedic people I guess still prefer this calcium method.
