My older brother and sister both stammered in turn so I was probably a bit like that in 73. You’d stand in some shop and peoples faces would change all over the place. My hair always used to stick up everywhere too, like that—still does— I was like a little electric mushroom. I was 7. I had all my costume changes too. My cowboy suit. My space suit. My army suit.
