I've literally just placed my order for the R GTi,2012 ... ready for Xmas,early January.. whoop whoop!!!! - but I'm keeping my 2007 MK.V E30-230, as it's only got 26,000 miles on the clock,& still has further boundaries to be explored, (only on a race track though can this truly be done). I've lost way to many close & dear friends in high speed car crashes on public roads;normally it's the other driver that screws you up as they don't appreciate you're doing 260 kmh , 155 mph ..

@elumint , no worries dude as this is a common and easy mistake to make. Europe only ever had 1500 E30 Mk.V's made. Below are the E30's differences:

Ko4 Turbo - extra 30BHP (the S3's Turbo)

Colour coded bumpers

Extra lip on front bumper, and slightly different rear bumper

ED30 door strips etc

Interior ED30 trim (very subtle)

Part leather heated seats

Percara 18" alloys

Limited edition with unique build number on plaque. Happy & save driving buds ^^ :)

@elumint We will have to look into this one bud, but on my inside passengers door of my 2007 E30 (26,000 miles.. genuine) .. I've a plague (official VW) that clearly reads No.1095 (this is the Mk.V GTI, and not the less entertaining Mk VI which is certainly unlimited as the E35. ... imo the Mk.V is a much more rewarding car drive ,on road,or on track...

Like it,a lot.. from an E 30'sd point of view,there's now a GTi on par with it.. about time guys. From being a semi professional racer,I can honestly say the E30 is the more involving,challenging car to drive.. ESG off (as long as not wet).. plus hell,there's only 1500 E30's ever made. I paided £14,500 for an immaculate,full BVW history,with 21,000 miles only.. she is still running in :),& getting quicker all the time too.. especially as Winter approaches.. Turbos just love that cold air! :)
