This dance about the seaport of Alexandria, Egypt is based on ideas of the late Ibrahim Farrah of NYC. This performance by Suba Bibi was done at an Arabic Wedding in Fallbrook, CA in November 2008. We also perfomed a Zeffet and a complete Folkoric show.

  • What is the name of the song?

  • So Sorry, Should have realized that is what it was. Anyway the name of the piece is Eskanserani and it means a girl/person from Eskanseria (Alexandria, Egypt). It was recorded in the early 90s I think. it only ever came out on casette tape. Was never put on DVd. i did that myself. The singer is Mustapha Omr. Pretty sure he is Egyptian. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. We love this piece.
