You're a lifesaver! My husband bought me this giant box of frozen squid (I asked for pre-breaded calimari, but life's an adventure, right?) and I had NO idea how to clean these things! They've finally unthawed in the fridge and I am actually excited about tonight's dinner after watching your instructions. Thank you!

Great video. Cooking, cut into rings. Dip in seasoned corn starch. Deep fry in peanut oil. At 177C or 350F till golden brown, and floating.

Precise. No blah blah blah...great pal...

Thanks a bunch for the video.. I never ate squid... It's not commonly used in India.. But as I am fond of cooking, I bought squids today... And I didn't know how to clean... This video is great... It really helps.. :-)

@Harborfishmarket It would be awesome if you told us how to cook it to :)

Thank you, thank you! I haven't made them for a while, and wanted to make them just like my mother did -- and she always cleaned her own... Concise and informative!

Living on my own and not having my mom around to show me. You did an AMAZING job with the demonstration and explanation. Thank you!!

WOW! I wish everything cleaned as easy as these small squid. I learned a lot from watching this.
Thank you so much for the explanation -- I agree that this is the best squid cleaning video by far.
Which are considered better, the big ones like you show here or the little ones?

We really only get the small ones here in Maine, I find them to be very tender and a great flavor. When we have been on the west coast and had theirs, they pound then to be tender. To me the flavor is not as good either. So I guess I would vote for the smaller ones. Glad you enjoyed the video.
