The Kinky2 Top2000 a gogo

The Top2000 à GoGo is a very popular music-program on Dutch TV, hosted by The NPS. Total amount of viewers this episode was1.300.000.

In this popular program we take a look at the annual Top2000, a famous Dutch radio program, where over 2 million listeners vote for a top 2000 of their favorite songs, from 1950 up to now. There are about 15 Kinks-songs among them.

In the TV show, clips are shown of a number of songs, appearing in the Top 2000. Also there is a music quiz, played by well known Dutch people and there's a celebrity who talks about his favorite band and/or song, usually (according to the guest) rated too low on the Top 2000.

Another part of the show is a talk about unusual stories in pophistory. Here "The Kinky2" come in.............

"The Kinky2" were invited to tell their story how they got involved with "The Kast Off Kinks", starting in 2001, with an almost unrehearsed gig, due to a lack of time.

They were invited to do the gig in 2001 at the last minute, after having NOT played for about 5 years, eventually ending in about 8 gigs in London and numerous gigs in Holland..................
