Of the three or four storylines going on around this time, all but one of them was abandoned. That storyline was Gus being Alan's son, the other storylines included Jonathan stalking Reva, Danny and Cassie purchasing Company. Ben Reed started working for Spaulding, but the new TPTB nixed that and decided to make him a serial killer instead. Blake was preparing to return to Spaulding for some corporate dealings. We never found out what happened to Ed in Africa, and Ed and Holly were quickly dropped to the background, instead we got Alexandra drugging Alan and stalking Reva, once lovable Lizzie becoming a psycho wanting to kill Olivia's unborn child and Phillip being written into a corner (mental instituion) that they never were able to get him out of and ruining him forever.
