Formula 1 history, slot car style. In my slot car club in Oslo I've collected cars that represent all the 32 drivers that have won the Formula 1 World Championship, from Farina in 1950 to Vettel in 2011. The cars are a combination of standard slot cars, reliveries and scratch builds. The track they are filmed on also has Formula 1 relevance, as it previously was placed in the (now closed) Ronnie Peterson Museum in Örebro, Sweden. The track is a copy of the Karlskoga racetrack, Ronnie P's "home track".

Enjoy the film !

  • Great video man! Also a really nice layout you have there. my confession is that I've never really liked F1 slot racing, purely because of the way they get so easily knocked off by another car's tyre touch. But, contrarywise, I love the older narrow tyre ones because they slide all the time. :¬D

  • @wordreet Glad you like the video. I see your point re: F1 slot cars, not the easiest to drive. My interest in them comes from a fascination in 1/ 1 F1 racing. The track in fact also has some F1 relevance, as I got it from the (now closed) Ronne Peterson musuem in Ronnie's home town Örebro, Sweden. The track is a copy of the racetrack in Karlskoga, Ronnie's "home track".

  • @damstredetracing Heh, I like F1 and watch all the races. Lewis and Jensen being my current heroes, me being a Brit. My mum watches them too, and we chat about it on the phone afterwards. A couple of non championship F1 races were held at Karlskoga, according to my friend Wiki. It's a nice looking track. I'm sure you have a Scalextric 6 wheel Tyrell to celebrate Ronnie's driving history. ;¬)
