  • oh, and btw, most people CAN actually stand him because they understand what he's conveying along with his delivery. think about how much respect he has from his fans as well as ward and james. he's clearly doing something right. his voice isn't perfect, but hell, look at bob dylan. same approach to singing, just a different sound.

  • oberst's voice is naturally shaky and he doesn't sit there and try to make it sound "emo" man. that's just a retarded stereotyping term that you're using to state the fact that he sings what he feels and he feels what he sings. oberst, ward, and james are three of the best modern poets as well as musicians.
