I made this PBS television special, Sins Of Our Mothers, with Rocky Collins, based on an interview with an old woman Maine reporter I had done way back in the mid-1970s. lol ha ha this is a true story as i said w/ she married her son clip. but dumb comments it's rude and judgmental. Fayette can be harsh on girls that have children out of wed lock but Fayette also has alot of good fine people live there too. but back in her time as i said she or there's no real proof that she did marry her son records showed that he married her and lft her Emmaline was buried in a popper grave unmarked on moose hill rd

It is indeed a true story and you are completely incorrect in your statements. I studied the records. I went to the state and to the town and I found the evidence. Plus Nati Mitchell, my star who told me the story, personally knew and saw and malign as did one of the other women I met at the time was in a nursing home. Both are now long gone. I love Maine and I am sorry you find this movie negative in some way.
