Aled talks to the Revd. Rhiannon Jones who is the vicar of St Vigor's Church in Fulbourn, who explains why our next hymn, "I The Lord of Sea and Sky", which comes from Hexham Abbey, is so special to her. Next we meet Paul Lee who has been a gospel singer for over 30 years, and has made many appearances on Songs of Praise, both as a member of the Adventist Vocal Ensemble and with the gospel group Tessera. Paul's favourite hymn is "Precious Lord", which is sung for us now by Tessera.
This is produced solely to promote Aled and his music.

  • this is the most beautiful hymn and played a part in my calling to god and christianity. my grandads favourite hymn and was played as the first song at his funeral 2 months ago. 2 minutes before the hymn started and i saw a brightish white spiralling fluttering vortex spin round and round up to the church dome up to a brightish misty cloud then another appeared next to it, then both instantly disappeared. wow! i now have my grandads senior devotional bible and im reading it and going from there

  • Does it matter?

  • I am a French Catholic but I have a strong personnal link with (High Church) Anglicanism that I know and love, and the collapsing situation of the Anglican Communion because of such issues sadden me. You speak also of ecumenical respect, but choosing litterrallly to give up all the moral and theological principles and views the Christian Churches had in common before the end of the 20th century seem to me beeing a betrayal of the ecumenism and of every hopes of reunion of the Christian family.

  • Monsieur, I assume you are french Catholic, no? While you are certainly entitled to a view, I respectfully disagree. Women are a wonderful addition to the ministry. Also, our Lord also teaches us not to throw stones unless we are without sin, and who is without sin except Jesus? As it is Holy Week, I take no delight in the troubles of your church, and I would not presume to instruct it on its doctrine. Please favor us with some reciprocal ecumenical respect.

  • I do not think woman can be Priests. It was not Jesus intention. Why the Church of England that I like has felt in the apostasy??

  • beautiful. Praise the Lord
