Right been trying to get my 360 to work, at first it was overheating, shutting down then flashing 2 red lights, with error code 0012, overheating, so because i did not have any warranty anyway i took it apart and cleaned it out as well as replacing the thermal paste on it, reassembled it and it worked okish for a couple of days and now it's started doing as it does in the video, though before i don't see how it could possibly be the proccessors actually overheating as even after applying fresh thermal paste it had the occassion where i would turn it on for the first time after it was off all night, and within 3 seconds it shuts down with 2 red lights error code 0012 showing that it was somehow managing to overheat, i have not done anything else to the 360 other than what i have said, so that means no soldering was done inside to affect the temperature sensor inside, though what it used to do whenever it was going to shut down the fan would slowly build up speed until it was working at the full 12v (very loud at that point) run at that speed for 3 seconds then shut down, any ideas? please give actually comments that contribute to this, none of the ps3 fan boy "this is why xbox sucks" because they WILL be removed

  • 0012 The GPU is overheating, 0030 Temp sensor problem/ Cold solder joint under CPU. Answer: The temp sensor is not working properly, maybe because it is shorting out (2 bridged solder balls).Or it is broken, then you have to cut the trace...

    Other fixes.

    1) Replacing the X-Clamps

    2) Reflowing the CPU

    Concentrate on the CPU.

    3) Cutting the CPUs temp sensor trace.

  • @snake88usa good copy and paste there, already found the website with that on it :P
