i really want to buy one of these and fit it with a hayabusa engine too! however, it can only have one seat.. which is a major turn off.
is it possible to just tune out the original smart engine or replace it with other engine so it is fast enough to beat a ferrari ?

well u don't have to be japanese to fit in them :)...i fit quite easily ! anywho...yeah...i could see a gang rising from the streets in this crazy smart ! unfortunately, it's a pretty big financial effort...:)
