The RockHounds snapped a four-game losing streak and retained sole possession of first place in the Texas League South with a 7-4 win over the Tulsa Drillers. The victory kept the RockHounds (24-22) one game ahead of the San Antonio Missions, who beat Arkansas, 6-0.

After rallying to tie the game, J.C. Holt delivered a two-run single during a three-run eighth inning that sealed the win for the 'Hounds. Mickey Storey was dominant in two innings of relief, striking out four of the seven batters he faced to earn his fifth win of the season.
