Upload time depends mostly on the size of the file and the speed of your internet connection. Lower resolution does make the file smaller, but if you're trying to upload on a significantly slower connection than you had before, its still going to take a lot longer. If you can, I would try to go back to cable, or if you have a laptop, find a coffee shop nearby that has an internet connection and see if it's faster than the one you have now. Otherwise you might just have to stick it out.. :/

i had the same problem. honestly, i had to do a direct upload from my webcam. i still can't get it to work properly. :(
