Sadly, the walking along the back of the stage business was because Eric's heart condition by that time -- he had suffered his second heart attack a year before -- had precluded him from doing a lot of dancing and physical comedy.

Ha! The bit at the end where they walk to the end of the stage and go - now what? And try to walk off without being noticed.
